Chicago Public Schools Subscription Databases
A wide array of online resources of available to CPS students through the Department of Libraries and Information Services. Follow the link below to access these at school or home.
In most cases, username and passwords are JCP's four-digit school code. The password for FirstSearch and PBS Video Database can be found on the database poster in the JCP library.
--Follow the "Departments" link on the left.
--Find "Libraries and Information Services" in the directory.
--Click on the "All Databases" tab on the right.
Proquest is a 365 educational-related professional magazines and journals database for K-12 educators. History Study Center offers invaluable historical reference material that covers 14 centuries of history from ancient to modern, old world to new world.
World News Digest, Issues & Controversies, Todays Science, World Almanac, World Almanac Encyclopedia.
The Chicago Public Library provide subscriber access to over 30 databases including the World Book Online Reference Center. Select Magazines, Newspapers and Databases, then use your Chicago Public Library card number to access databases.
