Respect for Property / Textbooks / Food & Drink Use / Vandalism
All persons in public schools must be good stewards of public resources. JCP students must respect the facility and the property of others. The school loans textbooks to students, with the understanding that they take full responsibility for the texts' safe keeping. Books are a public resource and must be treated with respect and returned for the use of others. Students must pay debts and fines for lost or damaged textbooks. Textbooks have unique identifiers and a student only gets credit for returning the texts assigned specifically to him/her.

Vandalism
Marking on or vandalizing the property of others is a crime. Persons who engage in writing on any space are not "artists", they are vandals. Vandals are criminals and will be dealt with as such. Students are not allowed to have in their possession any device or tool commonly associated with defacing property in any way (e.g. graffiti). These materials include, but are not limited to, magic markers, white-out, spray paint, shoe polish, etching tools or daubers except under the direction supervision of an art teacher, and in class. Violations of the rules for possession of these articles will not be tolerated and will be dealt with harshly, with possible expulsion and mandatory restitution.

Anyone defacing school property, including furniture, walls, books, lockers, other students' creative projects, etc. will be automatically suspended and will be required to pay for the clean up and restoration of the defaced property. Given probable cause lockers will be searched by school authority. The student will be subject to arrest by the police authorities as well
