From the Principal’s Desk:

On behalf of the faculty and staff, welcome to the 2009-2010 school year at Jones College Prep High School. I am looking forward to working with all of you to provide our students with the opportunities, guidance, and support they need to succeed in school and in life.

The mission of Jones is to help students develop themselves as leaders through a rigorous college prep program that focuses on educating the whole person. We strive to help students, teachers, and parents realize the joy of learning for all our students and to facilitate in any way we can the intellectual, emotional, civic, and social development of young people.

To ensure our goal of student success, the faculty and staff of Jones work closely and collaboratively with all stakeholders to realize our vision of the ”Graduate at Graduation,“ students who are:

• Socially skilled and mature
• Compassionate
• Socially just and responsible
• Well-rounded and holistic
• Intellectually competent

Jones has been ranked by US News and World Report as one of ”America’s Best High Schools,“ as well as being in the ”Top Ten“ of public high schools in the State of Illinois. We are very proud of our students’ many achievements and the dedicated professional staff that works tirelessly to help our students be the best they can be.
