Hello everyone,
An overview of all that was discussed at the SGA meeting on Dec. 12 is below.
Junior Class Report
- Will be hosting a Holiday Festival next Wednesday, Dec. 19
Senior Class Report
- Winter Formal tickets sales, at last notice, went quite well
Homecoming
Homecoming Committees
- Spirit Week (in charge of spirit week days, activities during spirit week, PA music during passing periods, selling tickets etc.)
- Homecoming Prep (in charge of getting decorations & decorating, homecoming t-shirt design & ordering, creating & selling tickets, advertising, etc.)
Homecoming Themes (voting results)
- Night of Extravagance (dropped after initial ballot)
- Blast from the Past (dropped after initial ballot)
- Pirates (dropped after initial ballot....arrrr)
- Masquerade (dropped after initial ballot)
- Black and White (dropped after initial ballot)
- Diamonds (dropped after initial ballot)
- Hawaii (losing finalist, 7 votes in finalist election)
- VIP (losing finalist, 0 votes in finalist election)
- Pajama Jam (winning finalist, about 20 votes in finalist election)
Note for next weeks meeting: please try to arrive by 7:20 to next weeks meeting, we have a lot of Homecoming stuff to do.
We encourage all students to participate in the student council meetings so that your voice and opinions will be heard.

Sitting in on a meeting conducted by your Student Government Association!
The goal of the SGA at Jones is to improve the well-being of the student population, host succesful events and improve SCHOOL SPIRIT!!
The SGA also seeks to improve the infrastructure of our student govenment and make it more representative of the student body population. They have taken these steps by introducing parliamentary procedure and equal representation to our meetings.
