Mrs. Reineke
Mrs. Reineke has been a member of the Jones Science Department since May of 2005 and teaches Anatomy & Physiology and Biology. She is a graduate of Illinois State University (ISU) with a B.S. in Biology. She also attended Harper College for core classes before attending ISU. During her time at ISU she attended Oregon State University for one academic year through the sister school exchange program. She earned her Masters in Science Education from Illinois Institute of Technology and finished her last credits at the College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine. There she attended a two week intensive lecture course about Marine mammals, whale watched and dissected a dolphin that now hangs in the Bar Harbor Whale Museum. Mrs. Reineke loves to travel. She has lead student science field trips including, Iceland in 2018, the Galapagos 2015 and Costa Rica in 2008. She has also been lucky enough to be a supporting chaperone on Ms. Waterman's France trip in 2008 & 2014 and Ms. Bowman and Mrs. Rayski's trip to Peru in 2019. Mrs. Reineke also loves road trips and camping with her family. The last trip they took was 6 days of camping around Michigan with the highlights being Sleeping Dune National Park, Mackinac Island, and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. When not involved in school academics and activities she is most likely life coaching to her two elementary school children.
