Before joining the Jones counseling team in 2023, Ms. Halliday was an IB Spanish teacher in a CPS elementary school for 11 years. She earned her Master of Education in school counseling from DePaul University, her Master of Education in world language instruction from Loyola University, and her Bachelor's degree in Journalism (with a double major in Spanish) from Northwestern University. Ms. Halliday incorporates the concepts of self-compassion and mindfulness into her counseling work. Building relationships with students is what Ms. Halliday loves most about being a school counselor! In her free time, Ms. Halliday enjoys spending time with her husband and two-year-old daughter, biking, and being outdoors.
