Yearly QuickStart

All students (grades 9-12) must complete QuickStart each year, including freshmen or transfer students who previously submitted information earlier in the year. Completing the registration enables the school to have accurate records needed throughout the year to support students. The QuickStart form should only be completed by parents of current students or those who have been accepted to Jones.

 

	Step 1: Gather Information Take a moment to collect the following information: Student's CPS email login -or- a GMAIL account (Note: QuickStart will only work with a CPS Student Login OR Gmail.) Two current (within the last 2 months) proofs of address (digital format). See a full list of acceptable proofs. Student's ID#    Need ID#? Open a ticket with the Help Desk.
	Step 2: QuickStart Forms (ONLINE) Student's CPS email login -or- a GMAIL account (Note: QuickStart will only work with CPS Student Login OR Gmail.) Two current proofs of address must be uploaded. A form must be completed for each of your students enrolled at Jones. Included within the QuickStart forms:  Student information Parent/Guadian Contact information Family Income Information Form (FIIF) - Manually complete the forms that are emailed to you. Print them and bring them to in-person QuickStart. Open Campus form for Seniors and Juniors Graduation information for seniors (cap and gown size, name on diploma, and ceremony phonetic spelling).   Instructions Access the online registration form by clicking QuickStart Online Form Complete and submit the online registration form. Families will receive a PDF attachment (available in English and Spanish) of each form sent to the email you list on the form. Review the forms carefully. Print, sign, and date each form based on your great. Follow the Packet Cover Sheet & Instructions. (If you don't have a printer, the school can print the forms out for you) Bring the printed and signed forms to in-person QuickStart -OR- the first day of school during AcLab.        QuickStart Online Form   Please note that any forms emailed to Jones staff members will not be accepted as they may not be processed correctly. (forms are not considered complete until they are submitted after signing them.)
	Step 3: Schedule & Student Fees Review Schedule (Student Portal) Schedule Issues? The week of August 19, counselors will reach out directly to all students with instructions on requesting a schedule change.  Not sure who your counselor is?  You can review the Counselor Directory. Pay Fees (Parent Portal) [ Recommended payment method ] Do not pay online if you are applying for the waiver (FIIF). There is a 2.5% fee when paying with a credit card. 	Step 4: QuickStart (IN-PERSON) Most of QuickStart can be completed online. The dates and times are suggested to help break up large crowds.    Suggested dates by the last name: August 14, 2024, between 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Last names A-L) August 15, 2024, between 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Last names M-Z)   Can't Make It? Are you unable to go on one or both sessions? Students can submit the documents to their AcLab teacher on the first day of school. After the first day paperwork can be submitted to the Main Office.
	Who should attend the QuickStart (IN-PERSON)? Freshmen or transfer students who need to take an ID photo Freshmen or transfer students who need Chromebook Freshmen or transfer students who need to drop off medical forms Drop off the printed/signed QuickStart Forms -OR- students can submit the documents to their AcLab teacher on the first day of school. After the first day paperwork can be submitted to the Main Office. Pay fees (cash only).
	QuickStart Overview Fees can be paid through Parent Portal (ASPEN) -OR- at Quickstart (cash only). *If applying for the fee waiver, please wait to pay fees until when the FIIF results are finalized in November Freshmen and Transfer students will receive Chromebook Freshmen and Transfer take their STUDENT ID photo   After completing the online portion, families will receive an email with important documents. Please print the attached document, sign where highlighted, and return it to Jones during in-person QuickStart -OR- Students can also submit the forms during AcLab on the first school day.   Accepted payment for in-person QuickStart Cash Money Order
